It's been half a year since the DALIA team last met in person in Aachen. On 30 June and 1 July 2025, colleagues from the University and State Library and the TU Darmstadt, the University Medical Centre Göttingen, the Academy of Sciences and Literature Mainz, the TIB Leibnitz Institute for Science and Technology, the University Library Hannover and the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and the IT Centre of RWTH Aachen University met to summarise the results of the last six months and to plan and coordinate the next steps. The team was hosted by the Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Mainz. The participants had the opportunity to discuss topics in more detail than in the weekly meetings and plans and ideas were developed. Members of the DALIA Advisory Board were also present. The focus of the first day was on the achievements of the working fields of the last six months and the exchange between the various working groups, as well as a survey on the progress of the project and the challenges.

At the Academy of Sciences and Literature, the team had the opportunity to listen to a performance by Jennifer Klein on the concert grand piano in the new wooden chamber music hall and then discuss new ideas for DALIA with a refreshed mind.
On day two, the Steering Committee met to make key decisions based on the developments of the last six months and to make DALIA fit for the future and sustainable. Additionally, the Advisory Board had the chance to give feedback and make suggestions. Meanwhile, the employees coordinated and prioritised the upcoming publications on the project's developments. The results of this session were shared. Many of these developments are on their way to publication and were coordinated and planned within the meeting. Positive aspects of the interdisciplinary work were emphasised. The meeting ended with a summary of the future strategy developed for DALIA.
Thanks to the organizers in Mainz and all participants for the productive meeting, the detailed insights and the innovative ideas that contribute to the development of DALIA.
