Declaration on Accessibility

This accessibility statement applies to the DALIA websites available at dalia.education and search.dalia.education.

DALIA strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) as well as the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The accessibility requirements are outlined in Sections 3 (1) to (4) of BITV 2.0, which was issued on the basis of Section 12 BGG. The review of compliance with the requirements (assessment according to the legal requirements in June 2025) has shown that the website partially meets the requirements mentioned before. Exceptions (including justification) are listed below:

  • In a few cases it can happen that graphics are not yet provided with an alternative text (especially with older content).
  • If the content is greatly enlarged, overlapping may occur in rare cases depending on the browser.
  • The focus is not always clearly visible when navigating with the keyboard.
  • Not all form fields have a label with which interactions (e.g. screen reader or clickability) are possible.
  • Some embedded or linked video or audio content does not have refined subtitles. Furthermore, no audio descriptions or full text alternatives are available.
  • The use of assistive technologies, such as screen readers, can lead to a deviating user experience, as not all expressions in other languages, enumerations and abbreviations as well as control elements are marked accordingly.

DALIA is working to gradually remove these barriers and continuously improve its services. New content will be created barrier-free. As the website is still under construction and is constantly being expanded, individual accessibility requirements cannot be guaranteed from the beginning. DALIA has no influence on the accessibility of linked resources, as these are hosted by external providers.
