Navigating Open Horizons: Strategies for Fostering OER competences and activities in Austrian higher education

Abstract

The presentation will introduce the development of OER infrastructures and services in higher education in Austria. This includes national policy development, OER certification, the development of OER repositories and a national OER referatory. Exemplarily, developments at TU Graz, one of the leading universities concerning OER in Austria, will be sketched as well.

Dr. Sandra Schön is a long-term ambassador on OER and was responsible for the development and implementation of the OER certfication for higher education in Austria. She works at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) as Senior Researcher at the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science.
